We are delighted to announce that the latest edition of Maria: A Journal of Marian Studies is now available online. Issue 3.1 contains articles on Marian apparitions, Mary in Asia, and a Pneumatological recentring of Mary’s ecclesial motherhood; translations of three beautiful Marian texts; and two book reviews. You can read it here: https://www.marianstudies.ac.uk/maria-new-series-vol-3-1-may
Given that we now have a new editorial team – as Dr Chris Maunder (whom we thank sincerely for his magnificent contribution to the journal) has handed on the co-editorial role to Sr Dr Cathy Jones – we are taking the opportunity to reflect on the future of Maria.
One modification is an alteration to the schedule: we now aim to publish in May and November each year.
A more important change, as the editors point out, is a proposal to include non-refereed ‘discussion pieces’ and letters as well as peer-reviewed articles, translations and book reviews. If you would like to share your thoughts on a Marian topic, you are warmly invited to contact the editors with a proposal at: firstname.lastname@example.org
