21st January 2026 (3pm): ‘Marian iconography in the context of Portuguese confraternities of Mercy’ – Joana Balsa de Pinho (Artis - Institute of Art History, School of Arts and Humanities, University of Lisbon and Institute of the Patroness of Portugal for Mariology Studies, Vila Viçosa, Portugal)
3rd February 2026 (7pm): Candlemas Lecture: 'The Virgin Mary from the perspectives of women scholars: Anna Jameson, Marina Warner, and Miri Rubin'. We are honoured that the eminent Art Historian Diane Apostolos-Cappadona, Professor Emerita of Religious Art and Cultural History at Georgetown University, Washington D.C., USA, has accepted the invitation to give a lecture on Marian art in memory of our late colleague Cathy Oakes. 11th February 2026 (3pm): 'Sweet Mother and Militant Virgin: The Two Faces of Mary' – Dr Patrizia Granziera (Professor of Art History at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Morelos, Cuernavaca, México)
